PIONEER CREDIT COMPANY A Historical Perspective In the fall of 1973, John W. Holden, Jr. invited a group of his close friends to become investors in the beginning of a new consumer finance company. The company opened its doors in April of 1974 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The corporate office is still located in Cleveland in a new fifteen thousand square foot facility at 1870 Executive Park. Today, some thirty years later, many of the same inceptive founders still serve on the company Board of Directors and Pioneer remains a closely held, independently owned and operated private corporation. We are proud to be represented in the southeastern United States in Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina and Texas with 88 offices and over 80,000 customers. Pioneer Credit Company employs over four hundred full time employees with a payroll in excess of $4.3 million annually.
